Silver glen has many committees and activity groups that control and act as advisory group to the Executive Board. Each committee is headed by a member and has numerous members as members. Some meet regularly and some infrequently depending on its charter.

The Committees are Activities, Change Control, Charter, Communications, Channel 21, Dining Room, Disaster Team, Finances, Friends of SG, Honor Roll, Hair Salon, Hobby Shop, Landscape, Library, Low Vision, Maintenance, Marketing, Saturday Afternoon Live, Ways and Means, Welcome and Wellness.

The Activity Groups consist of Back Exercises, Book Discussion, Bookmobile, Bridge, Bridge Lessons, Chair Exercises, Crafts, Day Trips, Decorations, French Conversations, Movie Night, Pinocle, Pool Players, SG Writer's Group, Singalong, Social Hour, Sunshine Committee, Walkers, Water Aerobics and Yoga.
